Teach-In 2008: Part Five - Introduction to timers, BCD counting and equality checking

In the first four parts of Teach In 2008, we have covered a fair bit of ground, introducing most of the available PIC commands, and showing how they can be used in a practical situation.Last month, we showed how an Event Counter could be simply implemented. We continue now in Part 5 showing how a similar technique can be used to create a simple frequency counter, basically for use with audio frequencies, in the range of about 20Hz to 20kHz.
