SwissQual AG monitors mobile network at CERN's LHC

CERN requires a stable and reliable network to provide mobile telephony and data services to employees in its Large Hadron Collider (LHC) 27 km in diameter. Comprising several surface radio base stations and 46 underground repeater sites, the specially designed network supports 2G/3G/4G technologies. To monitor real-time service quality (QoS and QoE) in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Rohde & Schwarz announced that CERN has selected the QualiPoc Remote Control measurement solution from SwissQual AG, a Rohde & Schwarz subsidiary with headquarters in Zuchwil, Switzerland.
