Oversight of European Airports Legal and Regulatory Aspects

The above discussion focuses on the incontrovertible fact that there are two aspects to the issue of preparedness for natural disasters by airports. The first is airport responsibility and the second is the need for corporate foresight. As for airport responsibility, in addition to the overall responsibility of the State for the provision of airport services in Article 28 of the Chicago Convention, Annex 14 to the Chicago Convention, pertaining to aerodromes and their operations also contains requirements which devolve responsibility on States to provide weather information and take necessary steps.
