One of the most significant challenges that twenty-first-century philosophy has to face is to think about our moral and political responsibility in collective and global contexts. In our globalized world, it is difficult to think about conflicts without international dimensions, harmful scenarios that are caused and could be prevented by our collective action, or political or civil actions without far-reaching consequences. Globalization spread the consequences of our actions in a spatial and temporal way. This is the reason why we, as philosophers, are forced to extend our moral and political theories to include new dimensions, both temporally and spatially. And this is the reason why we can explain the value of the book that I have the honor of reviewing here.
