A return to urban living in the USA

Most cities in the USA had massive tracks of industrial development along rail lines and in coastal cities. Due to the economic shift from production to service, entire districts became derelict. Investments moved to suburban and exurban objects where land was plentiful and inexpensive. Some cities are now but a fraction of their size a few decades agoo. But most cities have learned to restructure themselves and to create exceptionally lively neighbourhoods. A report on a return to urban living.
