Paisajes Emergentes ('Emerging Landscapes') is the Colombian architects collective of Luis Callejas, Edgar Mazo and Sebastian Mejia. With a keen eye for landscape, their architectural projects respond directly to the site, confronting the users with the hidden layers of the underlying land. Exploring the vegetal component is a way for Paisajes Emergentes to articulate the commissioned programme and to add conditions not presented in the original brief.Their prize-winning design for the Aquatic Complex on behalf of the South American Sports Games 2010 in Medellin is an excellent example.
