SANAA receives the Pritzker Architecture Prize 2010

This year, the Japanese partnership of Kazuyo Sejima (1956) and Ryue Nishizawa (1966) been awarded the Pritzker Architecture Prize for significant achievement. With this international prize - the most prestigious one among architects - Sejima and Nishizawa follow in the footsteps of previous laureates like Oscar Nie-rnmeyer, Rem Koolhaas and Herzog & De Meuron.rnKazuyo Sejima founded her own practice of Kazuyo Sejima & Associates in 1987, after working for Japanese master architect Toyo Ito. Nishizawa, one of Sejima's former employees, runs his own Office of Ryue Nishizawa. However, it is the joint venture ofrnSANAA founded in 1995 that takes home the Pritzker Prize.
