Comparison of the sensitivity of three psychophysical techniques to three manual materials handling task variables

The primary objective of the study was to determine the absolute and relative sensitivity of three psyhophysial techniques of physical stress determination (Borg's Scale, the Visual Analogue Scale, and the Body Part Discomfort Rating) in varied manual materials handling tasks. Ten young male and ten young female university students lifted a 22 kg box onto a shelf 132 cm high.
