Arnold Berleant has published extensively during the lastdecades, especially within environmental aesthetics, where he is also one of the leading international scholars. The thrust of Berleant's contributions is on the one hand on broadening the scope of aesthetics towards environmental and other non-art issues; and, on the other hand, on arguing for a non-dualist ontology where the aesthetic becomes a focal point.
