摘要

Untrafiltration treatment in conjunction with activated carbon adsorption and ion exchange is employed to treat the wastewater effluent from a chemical fiber plant. The effectiveness of the combined physical methods in treating the chemical fiber wastewater effluent was assessed in terms of water quality for reuse in the manufacturing process. Experiments were conducted to examine the effects of various operating variables of each treatment unit on the water quality and the optimum operating ranges of those variables were identified. The water quality of wastewater effluent after the combined physical treatment was found to be very good, exceeding the reuse standards for the chemical fiber industry.
