Perhaps one of the most inhospitable and inaccessible places in North America, McClean Lake is tucked into the northwest corner of Saskatchewan, where it borders the Northwest Territories. Battered by Arctic weather and accessed by air or a rough dirt road north of La Ronge, McClean Lake is some 3,000 kilometres northwest of Toronto.
