Effect of Reburning Zone Conditions on NO Reduction Efficiency in an Online Precalciner-Type Kiln System

摘要

Nitrous oxide (NO) reduction of online precalciner-type kiln systems by coal reburning was investigated experimentally using a one-dimensional furnace system. NO reduction can reach as high as ~ 70-80% in the tested reburning zone stoichiometry range (SR_2) of~~0.6-1.0. The NO reduction efficiency of bituminous coal is lower than that of anthracite (0.5<SR_2 <0.65). A higher temperature can lead to a higher NO reduction efficiency since 0.6<SR_2<0.7. There is an exponential correlation between the NO reduction efficiency and residence time, which may be influenced by several parameters, such as reburning zone stoichiometry and reburning coal characteristics.
