The article "Escalating Air Pollution Control Equipment Costs"[Environ- Mental Progress, 16, pp.S15-S18 (Summer 1997)]introduced the quar- terly Vatavuk Air Pollution control Cost Indexes(VAPCCI's)and Described how they can be used to Adjust air pollution control equipment Prices from one date to another. This Article also presented equipment size- Specific VAPCCI's for nine type of Control devices, from the first quarter 1996 through the fourth quarter 1996 (preliminary)and the first quarter 1997 (preliminary). Average VAPCCI's for the years 1994 and 1995 were also list- ed for these nine devices, plus fabric filters and mechanical collectors.
