In 1995, nineteen industry associations, thirty-one enter- prises and ninety-six individuals convened to inaugurate the LCA Japan Forum. This organization was established for the Primary intention of exchanging information on common Underlying problems and new measures regarding LA among The industries, academia, and government research institutes of Japan. The LCA Japan Forum has proclaimed the urgent need To establish an LCA methodology encompassing a public Inventory database and a Life Cycle Impact Assessment (LCIA) Orresponding with the environmental situation in Japan in Order to popularize LCA throughout the nation.
