摘要

This paper suggests the use of Fuzzy Logic for reservoir operation schemes. With the advantage of linguistic interpretation of optimal operating schemes, Fuzzy-based models aid the reservoir operators in alleviating their reservations toward conventional optimization models that are usually difficult to understand and implement. Further, in this study, a clustering-based novel method is suggested to provide the operators with a handful number of most meaningful operating rules, once the reservoir system is optimized. The proposed method is applied to a case study of the Pilavakkal reservoir system in Tamil Nadu. The results obtained are highly encouraging, with five simple operation schemes obtained from Fuzzy system.
