Greetings! As the new Chair of the Environmental Division it's my honor to welcome you to this volume of the journal. Our executive committee has been meeting to discuss ways in which we can better serve our membership, or if you are not a member to bring you into the Division. One way that we try to serve environmentally-oriented chemical engineers is through our spring and fall programming at AIChE meetings. My intention to help this process—and I just plan to help it because we have terrific people volunteering their time in this area—is to see if adding new people can generate new ideas.
