摘要

We have read with interest the recently published article entitled - "First evidence on different transportation modes of arsenic and phosphorus in arsenic hyperaccumulator Pteris vittata" by Lei et al. (2012) published in the journal 'Environmental Pollution', 161(2012), 1-7. This is a very important study that provides useful insights into the reduction and translocation mechanisms of As (As~v) and phosphate in the As-hyperaccumulator fern species, P. vittata using X-ray absorption spectroscopy. The quality of the experimental data is interesting and demanding by the scientific community and reveals that the authors have an extensive knowledge of their field.
