Hot Environmental and Legal Topics: Greenhouse Gas Regulation and Global Warming

We all heard about global warming. Increasing scientific evidence and efficient communication has resulted in the increased awareness that we contribute to warming of the Earth with unwanted consequences. While debate still ranges over the main cause that trigerred global warming (e.g., cause vs. effect debate-see, for example, Khilyuk and Chilingar, 2003), today most people agree that this process is real and our society is increasingly contributing to it. The pressing questions then are not if, but rather when will significant effects happen and how should we respond?
