Mike stands down at BSI

Long-standing SEE member Mike Gross has recently written to us to say that he has recently retired and has therefore given up his activities with standards bodies BSI and ISO. He writes: "I have represented the SEE on BSI GME21 and its subcommittees (mechanical vibration, shock and condition monitoring) for the past 40 years. The last several years I was chairman, also leader of the British delegation to ISO TC108, the international equivalent of GME21." This important BSI committee covers all aspects of mechanical shock and vibration. As a result of Mike's retirement there is no longer active SEE representation on this committee and there is an opportunity for someone to contribute to standardisation activities.
