Enclosure manufacturer Verotec is using its TecServ+ Project Service operation to design and manufacture bespoke enclosures used to house critical switching and interfacing equipment for London Underground. A systems integrator needed application-specific housings for a system upgrade. Particularly effective to turn a rough concept requirement into a physical product, TecServ+ incorporates design, engineering, project management, compliance testing and manufacture. Initially, 3D model files and detailed manufacturing drawings were produced from a specification and concept sketches. Once approved, initial physical concept prototypes were supplied unfinished to reduce costs and time. Following evaluation, modified versions of the original prototypes were signed off for production, and Verotec supplied the first batch within a short lead time.
