Sir John Mason 1923-2015

Sir John Mason has died at the age of 91. He was our President from 1999 until 2003. Sir John was an expert in the physics of clouds; as director-general of the Meteorological Office from 1965 to 1983, he transformed the institution into a world centre for global weather and climate prediction and research.
