Wales opens centre for NDT validation

A new national research centre for the validation if non-destructive testing techniques has been opened in Wales with a visit from the ministers in both the UK government and the Welsh regional assembly responsible for industrial matters. The Non-Destructive Testing Validation Centre is sited at TWI's ECM2 site in PortTalbot and was officially opened by Alun Michael, Minister of State for Industry at the Department of Trade and Industry, and Andrew Davies, Welsh Assembly Government Minister for Economic Development and Transport on 6 February 2006. It is run by TWI in conjunction with the Swansea Institute of Higher Education and Swansea University.
