摘要

A pedestrian steps out in front of your car. You only have a split second in which to react. You may be able to slow your speed fractionally, and the pedestrian protection systems in your car's hood may ease the impact. But the pedestrian is still likely to suffer serious injuries.rnIf you knew they were going to step into the road you could avoid the entire scenario. Automotive OEMs and Tier Ones agree that predicting movements could help to drastically reduce the number of accidents involving pedestrians. And many are now testing systems that could amalgamate a variety of technologies to produce a safer world for pedestrians.
