National Instruments has updated its Nl Sound and Vibration Measurement Suite software, a comprehensive collection of analysis and signal processing tools for noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) testing, machine condition monitoring (MCM) and audio test applications. The suite can be used as stand-alone software or combined with other hardware and LabView system design software to simplify test system development and control. The 2011 system simplifies the development of MCM, NVH and audio measurement systems with new features that include a data-logging virtual instrument so engineers can save data continuously or based on specific criteria such as triggers or time. Engineers can easily configure the data logger and run it for sensor types including accelerometers, tachometers and proximity probes. The measurement suite also includes the Sound and Vibration Assistant, for quickly acquiring, analysing and logging acoustic, noise and vibration data.
