The influence of dynamic parameters on the photodecomposition of active brilliant red X-3B in aqueous solution was studied using a baffled fixed-bed photoreactor. The results indicated that the per pass conversion (x) increased linearly with increasing light intensity (I_0), packed density of supported photocata-lyst (N), and flow rate (0. The slopes of the x-I_0, x-N, and x-Q curves were 0.0288, 0.0392, and 0.00825 respectively. The different slopes of the X-I_0, x-N, and x-Q curves suggestted that the photocatalytic decomposition rate of the active brilliant red X-3B in aqueous solution was largely dependent on the light intensity and catalyst packing density and less dependent on the flow rate.
