Critical pedagogy, ecoliteracy & planetary crisis: the ecopedagogy movement

I have a deeply held belief that the education system in the UK (and probably the rest of the world) does not do the job that we need it to do. Namely, it does not equip young people to deal with the environmental crisis of the twenty-first century. One day, I would like to write a curriculum that would do just that. It would connect people with their environment, connect people with their community (both local and global) and give them the attitudes and skills to engage in a vibrant democracy that will take political decisions for a sustainable planet.
