No law on sustainable products please, say stakeholders

Neither companies nor non-governmental organisations want a new legal framework dealing specifically with sustainable products, according to the European Commission. Its consultation on "delivering more sustainable consumption and production (SCP)" that took place between January and April 2012 found that instead stakeholders favoured more harmonisation and alignment between the existing SCP instruments.
