Elkind Nominated for International Post, Hezir for Chief Financial Officer at DOE

President Barack Obama has nominated Jonathan Elkind to be assistant secretary for international affairs at the Department of Energy and Joseph Hezir to be DOE chief financial officer. Both nominations were sent to the Senate Oct. 30. Elkind has been principal deputy assistant secretary in the DOE Office of Policy and International Affairs since 2009.
