In my July column I posed some questions that had been raised with me or had occurred to me as I pondered the outcomes of the 2005 Bye-laws ballot. I also invited feedback - as I had done in previous columns - to help me understand better what you, the members of Engineers Australia, think on these and other issues. At the time of writing this column, I had received only three responses. This was exactly the same number as I received following a request last year. I have reproduced the bulk of one set of comments below because they contain questions, the answers to which are probably not well understood by most of our members.
