The Beaconsfield Gold Project is centered on the old Tasmania Reef Mine located 40km by road northwest of Launceston, Tasmania. The Tasmania Reef is a gold-bearing quartz-carbonate-sulfide vein occupying an old fault structure which transgresses a series of sedimentary beds. It has an average strike length of around 350m, an average horizontal thickness of about 3.1m and dips to the south at an average of around 60 degrees.
