Additional generation capacity is to be installed at Darwin's Channel Island powerstation - the largest . powerstation in the Northern Territory. Leighton Contractors has been selected by Power and Water Corporation to carry out the project.rnThe powerstation is located on Darwin Harbour s Middle Arm. The upgrade involves the installation of two dual-fuel 45MW to 55MW gas turbine generators.
