Wastewater treatment technologies company EIMCO Water Technologies (EWT) has developed a membrane system for use in wastewater bioreactors.rnThe Nero MBR employs ultra-filtration plates mounted in a stainless steel sub frame. Non-woven PVDF/PET materials are used for the membrane for their physical and chemical properties. The uniform distribution of porernsizing and the non-clogging design of the membrane result in stable filtration that is resistant to blockage or blinding. According to EWT, biomass filtration through the Nero MBR produces yields of higher quality effluent that are almost free of suspended solids, germs and bacteria.
