Investment approved for next major gas hub

Work on the next gas project in Australia is to commence immediately following last months final investment decision by Chevron Australia to approve spending on the Wheatstone project at Ashburton North, 12km west of Onslow on the Pilbara coast of Western Australia. The Wheatstone project was granted final federal and state government approvals for an LNG development and a domestic gas plant earlier last month, prior to Chevron's final investment decision.
