It has been claimed that Airport Link will be the safest tunnel in the world due to the systems put in place to address the multiple safety risks. The fire and life safety (F&LS) team at PBA were involved in almost every element of the project. Their work touched every discipline - from civil and structures to mechanical and electrical (M&E). M&E in particular worked closely with the tunnel systems team for the duration of the project, from tender design to testing and commissioning.
