Celebrating the Goldfields railway

The Geelong to Ballarat Railway in Victoria was recognised by Engi neering Heritage Australia with the unveiling of Engineering Heritage Markers at Geelong and Ballarat stations. Engineers Australia, in association with a number of other stakeholders, con ducted heritage recognition ceremonies at Geelong and Ballarat on the 10 April, the 150th anniversary of the opening of the railway. Over 230 people attended the two ceremonies.
