"Parents, get the balance right - be excellent at work ^ and excellent at home. Have time to read with your children and share your work with them. Managers and employers, get the balance right - build effective teams and support people through the transitions in their lives. We all need to have honest and open conversations to achieve Australia's potential through challenges ahead." These were the closing statements by Engineers Australia's Professional Engineer of 2011 Dr Jane Sargison as she made a keynote presentation at an event in Sydney as International Women's Day was celebrated around the country on 8 March.
