Engineers must remain sceptical and questioning

I refer to the cover story in the November 2011 edition of this magazine on Engineers Australia's new national president Adjunct Prof David Hood. In the article Hood advocates more sustainability in all engineering activities, and I support and applaud that. However, about human activity causing global warming he is quoted as saying: "Debate in scientific circles is closed on that and I am not going to argue over it anymore."
