摘要

Every corporation eventually plays the publicity game by publishing articles related to its business. This certainly does not come as a surprise since publishing quality information on the organisation's field of expertise could dramatically contribute to enhancing its credibility in the marketplace. However, common belief indicates that the purpose of publishing technical articles is nothing more than a sales and marketing exercise - a publicity stunt, if you will. In reality, the process and background work that leads to publishing indirectly benefits the organisation in many more ways. It can lead to the strengthening of an organisation's knowledge and understanding of its own technological capabilities and direction; it can provide an opportunity to perform market research and further advance the company's competitive analysis process; and it can also help improve team and inter-departmental relationships.
