A Trefftz type method for time-dependent problems

摘要

This paper presents the application of a Trefftz type method with approximate trial functions for time-dependent problems of the parabolic type. At first it was suggested for elliptic equations only. The method was developed for PDEs with variable coefficients when a total differential operator of a problem can be represented as a sum of the one-dimensional ones. A comparison of the numerical solutions with analytic solutions is performed.
