The men and women's basketball programs at the University of Connecticut ("UConn") are widely recognized as two of the most outstanding in the nation. The men's basketball team won the NCAA tournament in 1999, 2004, 2011, and 2014. The women's team has won the National Championship a record 11 times, making it the most successful women's basketball team in the country. Most recently, the UConn women's basketball team completed an unprecedented 111 victories in a row. But not only are the UConn Huskies leaders in athletics, they are also leaders in energy and water efficiency, both in the NCAA and in the facilities on their campus.
