摘要

Energy efficiency is an important index for a wind turbine. Though variable-speed wind turbines are known as more efficient than fixed-speed ones, quantitative analysis and comparison between them is necessary. A method is developed in this article to calculate the average energy efficiency of wind turbines, based on the statistics and full consideration of short-time characteristics of the wind speed and control performance of the turbines. Calculation results are also given and compared in this article.
