  Simon Smith is a freelance teacher and teacher trainer. He has lived and worked in Sudan, China, Saudi Arabia, Hungary, the Czech Republic, and Poland. He is currently based in Britain and is a tutor and supervisor on the joint Norwich Institute of Language Education/Leeds Metropolitan University’s Teaching Young Learners module on the MA for Professional Development in Language Education. He also works on training courses for Sue Leather Associates and is Chair of Cambridge ESOL’s Teaching Knowledge Test: Young Learners. He is especially interested in early start English project evaluation, trainer training, and young learner teacher education materials design;
