摘要

This article analyzes the influence of rope groove on a proper friction couple sheave-rope mating process. It treats a friction influence on a proper slip process between a sheave and a rope. The authors offer an explanation as to what factors have a direct influence on defining a friction condition and an apparent friction factor, and what factors determine a long system life. In order to consider a slid mechanism between a drive-unit sheave and a rope, let's use methods defined in tribologyt. Tribology describes processes and effects happening in a movable contact of solids. The friction process is a physical phenomenon, which we can commonly see in nature. Friction is a complex process and determined by many effects, depending on parameters and friction conditions. In most mechanical processes, friction essentially influences a quality of these processes.
