Landing-Door Lock

It is well known that elevator work is one of the most dangerous jobs in existence. Many elevator accidents involving industry workers have taken place, and falls from landing doors are among the most common. In China, relevant departments take safety measures such as elevator-management systems (especially landing-door-key management), formulating, pasting safety tips on the keyhole, improving elevator-safety education, etc. Although these measures effectively reduce such accidents, they still occur. One reason is the faultiness of the protective function of the landing-door lock.rnOne way to open the elevator landing-door lock is by using a triangle key to drive a mandrel (or other equipment) to open the mechanical lock hook of the landing door, then open the door manually. However, if the worker fails to determine the stop position of the car in the hoist-way and the car is not at the same floor, he or she could fall into the shaft when manually opening the landing-door lock.
