SCHINDLER TO EQUIP 'NEW CAIRO'

Schindler is to supply 506 elevators for new phases of two satellite cities near Cairo. Installation is scheduled to start early this year and be completed in the second half of 2012. It will include elevators from Schindler's 3300 product range, developed specifically for residential use. As of December 2010, Schindler had already installed 548 elevators in Madinaty and El Rehab, which, once complete, will be some of the country's largest development projects.
