There have been many articles in specialist magazines made by AC sustainers - against the use of DC motors - as better systems to drive a lift car door operator. Reasons have been given trying to technically justify a choice without entering into a detailed mathematical and physical comparative analysis. The purpose was to allow the reader to understand the difference between the two systems (DC and AC) and the real importance of choosing one technology or another for an application on lift car door operators.
