For simplification the permeability of the iron core is set to iFe=" and its losses are neglected (PVFe=0). When the three phase symmetric current flows through the three phase winding as shown in Fig.2, a rotating magnetic field, as shown in Fig.1, will be produced in the DRIM. The equivalent magnetic loop is shown in Fig.3.
