Electrical muscle stimulation from the olden days

The Pansanitor unit, along with all its accessories including cables, electrode holders and its wide array of glass electrodes, came in a handy carrying-case with a plush violet lining (Figure 1). The control unit for generating the stimulation currents was built into a black wooden housing, with a plastic ivory-coloured top panel carrying the legends for the two rotary controls and for the connection sockets (Figure 2).
