Germany's Ministry of Economic Affairs and Technology is confirming its commitment to the development of an intelligent transport network by funding the research initiative "Traffic Management 2010". The initiative consist of many projects but its ultimate focus is to promote the efficient use of the existing infrastructure, service-orientated offerings for the public transport sector and the development of affordable procedures for recording traffic flows in Germany.
