Since the 1960s, the space antenna has found a wide application range, including in satellite communications, remote sensing measurement, deep-space exploration and military reconnaissance. NASA was the first to carry out systematic studies on the design and applications of the mesh antenna, followed by research in other countries. The US and Russia have had a technical advantage in the R&D of the reflecting mesh, a special design that reflects radio frequencies.
